    It does make sense though to look at a more permanent solution. Maybe we could suggest to Hester that we lobby the council for some cash to get a small rim built around the whole perimeter? Stop me if this route has been tried before ...

    Trouble is they don't want us to damage the fence with anything too permanent... or the surface of the court... and as roxy has said before water still needs to run off the surface. I think the main issue is the rubbish/fouling and the balls going into their garden and us using our mallets to retrieve the ball (and damaging their plants, this was my argument) and i also suggest this would also stop a lot of litter going through into their garden.

    Like Rakan says they are on our sides but have these constraints to deal with.
