I have TWO brakes on my bike currently, im experimenting with different riding & braking possibilities.
Id never press a front brake to engage any kind of skid, sounds lethal.
But I have found this skipping method allows you to put more pressure into the rear wheel than skidding helping to stop quicker, but have also found its a bitch to start the skid if travelling at speed.
My favoured method of skid stopping so far is a skid/swerve combo. Spent the past two days trying to learn 180' rollout skids, and never fell over once. So ive come to the conclusion the swerve/180 skids are a safe method of collission evasion.
Surely this just means that you'll (potentially) be going backwards into whatever has jumped out in front of you?
