Supermarket teas are nice, as is Tetley and PG tips.
But I like a builders tea, a splash of milk and dark.
If I am feeling really bad I have a sugar too. ;p -

+1 to loads of teas up there, basically the same list as Skully as far as I can make out.
But, a few more that I need to call out:
Licqourice tea for when you've eaten too much and need to digest in a hurry, kinda like Peppermint but better.
Earl Grey with Orange Blossoms, loose tea that you can buy in a teashop in Kingly Court. have it with a small splash of milk and eat a choccie hob nob with it. The whole shebang ends up tasting like the best ever tea + jaffa cake combination.
The du Hammam, an other loose tea made with white tea and vanilla (I think), that is one tasty drink but a bit full on for a regular cup. I've only seen it for sale in Brussels but think it is available over here.
BTW, the Twinnings shop opposite the Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand (but what you would think of as Fleet St) is wortha visit. it's the original shop and has every one of their varieties.

Cannot remeber the brand offhand but my favourite is a mix of green and black tea (bags). Strong but not *too *strong with a lovely taste.
It's hard to beat a decent loose tea served from a decent teapot though for little bit of luxury. -

'earl grey creme' and 'green tea forest' bought back from Teany in New York by the missus.
Lakeland special and regular earl grey also feature heavily in my daily tea routine. Plus the ocvsional cup fo PG tips so people at work don't think I am weird.
Always made in a pot, but drunk from a mug.

Specialise in whole leaf tea at very reasonable prices, plus they sell the gaiwan cups to make a proper cup of tea.

So how come this thread died? Is coffee pooftery really more popular than this hard man's drink?

PG Tips and other supermarket teas are rank - if a tea isn't delicate enough to drink as a black tea it doesn't get anywhere near me.
Trying to work up the courage to try Lapsang though - maybe someday soon...

Twinngs Everyday is bloody lovely.
Also my Dad introduced my to Gunfire, which they used to get soldiers up in the morning. It's basically Tea with Rum in it. And it's fucking great.
