Jacket needed... waterproof and very breathable

e-vent, goreXCR or the better softshell materials like gore N2S
expensive but worth it all the cheaper fabrics don't perform as well.

Gore Pac Lite for showers and mild weather - light weight/breathable
Softshell for very light showers (not waterproof as seams aren't sealed) and colder weather
