I stand corrected (I live in Brockley)
just had a quick look through this thread (not thoroughly), theres a few people from round here, is there anyone local might be able to help me out with my convertion (old BSA racer)? I got quite a few bikes, if someone helped me with my bike(s) I could sort them out a few bits (maybe a whole bike!) -

I'd love to help, but alas, I am off to Oz tomorrow for about a month.
Head to south drinks tonight and introduce yourself - there's a big handsome devil with a massive beard. Buy him a drink and he'll point you in the right direction. -

Well thanks for the tips. Turns out I'm a bigger eedjit than I thought. My Irn-Bru can shim didn't work either as the new bars just spin in the stem - new stem for me then! Also, my Dirt Harry break leaver doesn't really fit either - I'm off to an absolute flyer with this build my own fixed gear malarkey!

it's only a bike, most bike shops should be able to help you. try your local ones first
the thing is ive got some bits already,so im looking for a frame and a rear wheel, and my local shops dont build up fixies and dont have frames for them and i dont want a langster either

I've been knocking around on my Raleigh Record Sprint conversion for a little over a year now, still got bit's to do, including possible new forks, and definite new wheel set.

Hello to everyone. Been following some time now and just registered to the board. Hope I am not to much of a commuter / nonstyler for you guys, but we'll see.
To give you an idea: I ride a lemond fillmore with straight handlebars, on the SS side, powergrips on the pedals and a rear mudguard. Wear a fat helmet as well. Love it. -

Christ, wait until everyone see's my bike..... the words "SLAUGHTER" and "LAMB" spring to mind

None... usually wearing cut off army style pants without a cushion underneath but recently started to wear my lycra top I bought for running as it's thermal and has long sleeves, and it gets a bit chilly in the mornings ... But I am not really a lycra lover. Also there is a hint of hipster in me. I brought back a white and blue chrome bag from SF when I went visiting ... does that make me a fakenger?
