I have a similar problem in that I'm after a 44T at 110 BCD for my Sugino GT crank. I have spotted a Truvative BMX one but it's 4 mm think and am a bit worried about it affecting my chainline.
Any help locating a decent 44t at 110BCD would be much appreciated
Many thanks.

Hey there
I'm currently using an old shimano 42t chainring (from a double), but its quite worn so I'm looking to replace it with something new.
Does anyone have a new(ish) 42t or 44t 130BCD chainring (preferably track) they are looking to offload?
Or can you recommend somewhere good to buy one?
Thanks.
I ordered a Gebhardt track chainring from http://www.soniccycles.co.uk/
choice of black or silver. rather good chainrings apparently.
OR
DHcyclesport have a few sugino's, in various numbers of teeth, in their ebay shop

almost all BMX racing chainrings are 110bcd 5 bolt, type in various bmx brands you will get a lot of choice and old school colours.
Sugino BMX, Tioga, FMF, etc etc
They are 1/8th too, same as track chain.

My God. You actually listened to something I said?
I normally get bored of what I'm saying and mentally walk away from myself shaking my head in dismay ;] -

That said. Prime numbers FTW.
If you're rear cog is prime that will be the minimum number of skid patches that you have.
13, 17, 19, 23 Teeth cogs are all great. If your front is prime your rear skid patches will eactly match the number of teeth on your rear cog. So 43, 47 or 53.
All of the above is based on none ambidextrous skidders.

fucking hell.... I read what Sheldon had to say about the maximum skid to tire ratio and you boys have just made it a fine art.
Thanks for he BMX tip by the way Fanny Man, I've been looking there but few of them actually quote a BCD, and some are quite thick, like the chain line paranoia inducing truvativ.

Don't get me started. I can tell you how ambi skidding works and give you a few formulae if you like.
That said Rabbit can give you the answers without you doing the maths.

Isn't ambi-skidding just x2? Or am I just being naive?
It wouldn't be the first time, BTW...
And I'm totally going 49 on the front... As soon as finances allow... -

@ Object: I absorb everything... Like a sponge... But not a lady-sponge...

13, 17, 19, 23 Teeth cogs are all great. Not true, how many skid patches on 46:23?
The trick (I think) is that the 2 numbers should be co-prime. -

0r 39:13?

Dude it was late. I'd been at work for 16 hours for the second day in a row.
I didn't think it necessary to discuss the variables and anomolies. -

Thanks for the info FP, I hunted one down at Alan's BMX and it arrived today, here's a pic.
All for the princely sum of £6 plus postage.
