i have also driven this route and nearly cried out of boredom. canada's beautiful and all that, and the vast openness of the prairies is something pretty unique to behold ("look! a thunderstorm! hundreds of kilometres away! and we can watch it slowly coming towards us! for hours! and hours! and hours! and hours!") but i wouldn't willingly subject myself to this trip again in a car. and certainly not on a bike.
