  • those rollapaluza boys with their aggressive marketing techniques :^]

  • bloody hipsters..

  • The hipsterdemic spreads north..

  • i had a great time at the nocturne... and i got some rapha bargains (a musette for 25quid and some fixed shorts for £40)

    http://fixedgearleeds.blogspot.com/

anything that encourages people to ride is good if ya ask me. chris hoy is de man

  • Sale Fixed shorts are £35.

    Bargain Fail :P

  • i paid £25 in the sale.
    big fail.

  • £35?

aww... :( nevermind... i missed that one.

  • aww well. better than 120!! (i could never afford that)

  • that photo is such poor quality it's impossible to tell who's riding the stamp bike..

  • with my phone's camera, it's lucky you can even see it's a human on a bike

  • wow, awesome!! I love the discussion. And yes, Chris Hoy winning the Olympics made him super popular, and yes it's awesome so many kids went out to see him.

For the record, I have a sexy bike ;-), it's vintage as are 90% of the components.

"i sometimes feel that those wanting a revolution only want it to suit them and their utopian ideals which is fine until they need support from the state or medical care that involves drugs from those big companies like Roche and Glaxo with shareholders that need to be paid. (again not directly aimed at your want for a better world)."

    • Way to swallow the government think tank's anti-utopian pill! Yes and also Anarchy=Chaos right?!? nope, sorry, I won't drink the kool-aid.
    • Many of Glaxo and Phizers drugs are actually synthetic forms of stolen formulas from tribes that have had them for centuries.
    • And yes, come to think of it, as long as the way our current civilization treats the earth and is creating more and more cancers and diseases, yep, gosh darnit, we become dependent on their invented cures for them too.

And yes there are worse things than a rapha scarf and also bricks are heavy and water is wet. That scarf is just one more example of cultural rape, of course there are worse forms.

  • anyone listen to obama the other night in Denver describe his mother on her deathbed argueing with the health insurance companies I can't get health insurance for my wife in the states because she had pins and needles in her hands due to a vitamin B deficiency simply because pins and needles happens to be one symptom of MS the system has become so cynical no wonder legions of people both inside and outside of the united states have bought into the idea of 'hope' and 'change'

  • yes i watched that, i ended up mimicking his glib statements by standing up thumbs in belt loops and in my best southern drawl shouted 'I'm going to make your world a better place'
does he talk that slow so middle america can understand what he's saying?
another ronald reagan, god help us.

  • do you reckon they'll start making Pedalo-themed armbands next?

Could be handy come Feb, 2013.

this is the best comment on here.

  • it's simple. if you don't like it don't buy it.
just knit your own out of yogurt or hemp and wear your dainty hankie guilt free.

    vegan awareness fail.

    cha ching..

  • vegan or not vegan has nothing to do with what i had written, the issue is consumerism not diet choice.

actually that speach was aimed directly at middle America's white working class with a lot of feel good platitudes to keep the delegate goers happy I love hearing obama speak I love the way he says merica rather than A-merica

Refreshing to hear someone say something about him which doesnt equate him with some sort of jesus saviour creature!

  • Barack Obama - a fresh-faced, seemingly honest, lawyer-turned politician promises to change his country immeasurably for the better.

Some years ago, another fresh-faced, seemingly honest, lawyer-turned politician had just swept to victory in a general election on a promise to change his country immeasurably for the better. A nation rejoiced at finally turning the corner and emerging from the darkness.

To date, Anthony Charles Lynton Blair is the only British Prime Minister in history to have been questioned by the police on an allegation of corruption whilst still in office. He was also the main cheerleader (outside of the US, of course) for military action in a small country named Iraq where women used to be able to go to school without fear of being attacked by religious zealots for daring to want an education. He, and his government, have presided over the collapse of the British economy, the effects of which have only just begun to be felt.

Forgive me for not getting my hopes up about Obama.

  • I've enjoyed this thread and the level of the debate over the past few days.
Tellingly, none of our Tory-boy flag-wavers for Boris have as yet seen fit to pitch in - perhaps it would be beyond them?

  • I read somewhere that actually Rapha is a sub division of NIke...

The irony of course is that having pushed out Blair you are now saddled with perhaps the most incompetent and unpopular prime minister in British history.

  • Cameron isn't Prime Minister yet.

  • we do have boris johnson as major though! :(
