Where do you get m9 by 26 tpi and m10 alloy nuts from?

to fit campagnolo hubs
-you know like 50 pence each
rather than 18 pounds

ah, and self extracting crank bolts
-that aren't 25 pounds a pair

sounds silly but there was "the nut and bolt shop" down in brighton (well. hove) see if they do delivery over the net. there must be something similar in london

I think i have fathomed it out,

campag front axles are m9 by 26tpi

cheap hollow 'rear' long track front spindle from the local bike shop at a quid each are
3/8 =9.5mm by 1inch=25.4mm
i need a longer axle at the front anyway

so to fit a longer axle to the front of a campagnolo axle, i just buy a 3/8ths by 25.4 tap set, and run it down the cones and lock nuts
fit in a rear 3/8ths by 1 inch rear hollow spindle, fit the tapped campagnolo cones and lock nuts,and fit the 50p a pair alloy nuts
total £3

on the rear, because i only require 116mm, simply remove the spacer, centralsie the axle, and run a m10 by 26tpi tap through the 50 pence alloy nuts

=sweet
total £4, not 59.99 bucks plus shipping

Halfords sells track nuts, and boy if you can tap bearing cones. . . well let me know:)

just round the corner from condor is a hardware shop clerkenwell screws as mentioned above i got loads of wierd and wonerful nuts from there italian threading french threading british needless to say
it's a huge emporium of nuts and bolts stock up

Steel all the way. Aluminium alloys are weaker than steel alloys, and the weight saving is going to be nominal.

I went there and they do have a lot of shizzle. They got a little impatient when I asked for small quantities of lots of different stuff but there is a flat fee of £2 for one little bag full of stuff. (They usually deal with quantities in the 100s).
I got fat washers which I will space out my axle and I'm sure I would have gotten proper spacers but the guy seriously gave looks so I just left it.

There is that shop that sells small parts for lorries. It is at the North end of Hackney road. I wonder if they have what you need? They wern't too moody last time I went in there.
