Object, I'm totally with you. It's Rapha yet again jumping on a cultural trend and trying to capitalize on it. Now obviously a gizzilion other brands do this, but no other brand treats cyclists more condescendingly while being cyclists and trying to appeal to cyclists at the same time. No other cycling brand attempts to be la creme while simultaneously shitting on those that originally sported the trends that they steal.
There is something beautifully moral and ethical about cycling and many of us cycle, not because it happens to be cool this year but because its the most moral yet practical way to get around town. I think it's those people that feel the knife wounds that Rapha continues to make more than those who cycle cause it's fun and cool.
Rapha pretends to be one with cyclists, knowledgeable about cyclists needs and meanwhile, have you heard their business plan, build, build, build, sell, sell, sell, retire. They don't give a shit, as long as another big business thinks their cool enough to pay millions to absorb at a later date. And then let the real exploitation of Chinese workers and world cyclists begin.
