Tour de Ville can probably hook you up for around that price.
They have some amazing road bike frames at very affordable prices, and loads of lush track stuff.
Nice guys too (jos & keith), based in a studio space around seven sisters, search the forum for their details, I forget!
Oh, and its nice to hear your brother is doing well.

there's always my bike :) Going for much cheaper than your budget, but then again you might be looking for something a bit more lush!

Potentially, yeah.. not sure I'd want to lug the bike and a big box of spares on the train and then take it back with me, but it's not impossible!
OK,
My brother gave up riding his fixed a couple years ago when he got cancer, and so sold his bike. He is now completely healthy and it's birthday next week so I've decided to get him a nice fixed gear number and get him back in the game.
I'll be wanting a 55/56 track (steel) frame preferably, but a complete set up as I don't have the time to piece one together myself and I don't want to pay over the odds at BLB to be honest.
I just want pointing in the right direction, so if anyone has loads of bits and bobs that can be built up, or at least something I can build upon, hit me up!
I have tried a few places so any help you guys can be would be great! Looking to spend around £400/£450 for the right bike!
Cheers all!
Soda!
