"Fixie": It's Denmark's fault

Last time I was in copenhagen, about 2 months ago, I saw loads of fixed wheel bikes. Right in the city center, there was some kind of demonstration going on and they were all gathered around that. Copenhagen in general has so many cyclists. It's great, and the red lights show timers so you know if you have to slow down or if the light is just 4 secs away from turning green. Amazing.

Thats only if you are walking....

But yeah, fixed gear is going strong in Copenhagen... I guess the reason "fixie" is a popular word in Denmark compared to the rest of the world is fixie-king.dk (started by a messenger).
