It sounds like their spokesman used to be a rozzer:

That reminds the South African airways ad of years ago: passenger giving birth. big smile on her face while the friendly air hostesses played nurses and midwives. Jolly good.
Mind you I think it was in business class.

That's the problem with the lo-cost airlines, if it had been a regular plane someone would have been able to do a full surgery here and then and not disrupt the other passengers.

i was coming back from italy and a HEAVILY pregnant woman managed to get herself all the way to the boarding gate without being turned back (apparently "had to get home")
she then made the rest of us wait 2 hours while she filled out some intense paperwork to let her get on the flight..

unfortunately i can't remember the airline but it was several years ago

Well I know it's true, I saw it on TV. And there was no blood and it looked painless.

"Under IATA guidelines, pregnant women are allowed to fly in weeks 36 to 38 if the flying time does not exceed four hours. However, many airlines will not carry pregnant women after 36 weeks."

@Cohen: pregnancy is not an infectious disease. The airline was probably worried that something would happen to her and would have had to do an emergency landing and therefore created the delay.

But mushrooms mixed with oil on the other hand is a definite no no.

i just meant that it is possible for pregnant women who are expecting in under 3 months (deadly fanny packs comment) to fly

when i said she delayed my flight i just meant i was annoyed that she couldn't have done her paperwork previously rather than making us all wait for her
