if they keep coming loose when seeimgly done up tight, it could be that they are not narrow enough. The bolt needs to be clamping against the surface of the chainring & spider. If it isnt (the bolt mereley reaching the end of its threads) it is likeley to come loose, some washers or narrower bolts will help you here.
