Shimano bottom brackets?

Can someone tell me the difference between, UN52, UN53 & UN54 sealed bottom brackets?

I think the UN52 and UN53 have been discontinued, but i think the difference was the quality of bearings. Maybe someone else can back that up?

well, if the price goes up, along with the numbers.. then yep, it would be bearing quality, and maybe general metal quality that will also increase.

Some costcutting happened over the years.. metal Sleeves replaced with plastic.. and inside?..
All the UN5X are meant to be at the same level, similarly the UN3X and the UN7X ones.

that sounds more likeley as they are all the same price.

Just cat see the reason for the numbers.
