What were you de-toxing ? (cells? blood? internal cavities? etc)
body in general, girlfriend want to go through one, so I joined to make it easier for her (nothing more tempting than eating a big tasty meal in front of her), it work wonder despite not having much food, made me rethink my diet a bit after the detox.

My detox worked a treat.. beer and steak with a small allowance for chicken kebabs and vodka.
I finally cleared my body of foul toxins like vegetables, fruit and soy.
I'm up later and earlier than anyone here, faster than any vegan hipster and have a great time. Okay maybe my skin isn't so lovely but then I'm a guy who grew up in an oven.. it's not meant to be fucking nice! I also should avoid a long drawn out death when my heart gives out around 70 year mark. Sweet as. -

@edscoble, the reason why the "detox" felt good is because you stop eating so much and it is easier for your body to process everything.
I don't like the idea of detoxes, diets etc... it sounds like this is what we need to do every so often instead of having a good daily diet. It's like going to the gym every 2 weeks and not do anything the rest of the time. But it is good that it made you realise that you feel healthier with some changes.
Hippy, great that you can eat as much as you want but don't ignore when your body gives you sign, like a bad stomach, feeling sluggish etc... Funny that we applaud people who stuff themselves with food and alcohol, might be funny on the outside but if you look what's happening in your insides it's fucking scary!

Yeah I know a bit about 'detox' alcohol is such a strong poison that when you detox if you don't do it under medical care the resulting siezures can actually kill you! When I went into recovery I needed valium to stop involunatary nerve twitching, delerium and to be able to sleep - both my mind and my nerves were shot to pieces - post withdrawal the first thing my doctor did was to prescribe vitamins and put me on a healthy diet - however almost immediately the addict mind takes over and I like nearly every other alcoholic I became addicted to sugar, chocolate and cakes - five years later I am still addicted to sugar which I self medicate with fruit - I have nothing but sympathy for people with eating disorders because as an recovering addict I have been hell and back I know what it is like to want to stop eating:drinking but not being able too

Whoever you are, happiness and a big heart is the key for a healthy life.
I would say humility and helping others but you are right VeeVee it is what is in your heart and not your belly that really matters

Is it so important to judge people on what they eat? do we really care for the well being of the kids or do we hold them up so we can look and stare and feel better about ourselves?
+1
