  • Whilst you can't legislate for what other road users are going to do, are you telling me that if/when you're in a bus lane and see a blockage you brake to a halt then dismount despite the bus being behind you? Though I really want to know MORE details of this incident, my sentiment remains.
You can not over estimate the importance of eye contact or outright signaling- assumption is the mother of all 73's all over your langster! Also it doesn't hurt to acknowledge/thank other road users that give us way or do the right/nice thing ny us.

Completely agree Mr Grooves, i am either full throttle or brakeless so my mind is on the furthest spot i can see. Several times i have had to slam to a hault to let a bus pass on the outside (i could hear the fkwits engine rev as he tried to make the gap) but i watch the car behind letting them know i'm coming out soon as it's passed.

With one eye witness account its tough to know what really went on, and to hear or see an incident with a cyclist is sickening. but the danger is a big part of the fun.

You are spot on with the eye contact and acknowledgement. it goes such a long way to making the drivers pay more respect to us.
