Unisize Helmets? for small noggins...

  • Hello,

I was about to purchase a Bell Venture helmet, which seemed exactly what I was after:

an all-white £20 helmet with peak that would look more (elegant?) and fitted than my skate lid.

However I just notice, that its uni-size and recommended for 24"-27" heads according to one website.

most/all other helmets in this price range are unisize too, with the smaller end being 23-24"

My head is 22" around, and like I said, im after a new helmet so its fitted as possible with minimum overhang.

Does anyone have this or a similar helmet? and a small head? got any opinions on the fit?

  • My head is even smaller than yours 54cm viz-a-viz 55cm

The SMALL Giro Ionos is a perfect fit

It has the added benefit of not making me look like a cycling penis

  • £100? you mad?

£20 is tops, Im stuck on 81GI on my bike because I cannot afford a lower gear, im not about to blow a ton on something that will only add to my 'bike-geek' persona.

Besides, your supposed to replace helmets regularly, so thats defo a no-no.

  • Will if the expensive small giro fits small heads what do reckon on the chances that a cheaper small giro will fit a smaller head? I didn't want to spell it out for you just thought I'd give you the benefit of the doubt.

  • my head is 54cm and i've got my old MET for sale £10

    thanks for the tip,

unfortunately the cheaper Giro's are also unisize.
