Househusband is not so much fun when you're in the low income trap. We'd probably be better off if Faith gave up her 2 days a week work, and I consigned myself to the lifelong dole queue, but I've been institutionalised that way before, and it's not good for the soul.

Make yourself some spare cash by appearing on Jeremy Kyle, bit parts on place in the Sun as a spanish Plumber or portuguese fence erector. all under the radar, cash in hand work. would also make for some interesting posts onto this thread.

I worked as a waiter for a few years and the nutter in the flat who sold me gear signed on with a rare injuryl; He couldn't carry out physical work, and sitting down for lenghty periods gave him shooting back pains (unless he was on the playstation with a joint and cider, one of those strange medical oddities)
He did the math and worked out it would be impossible for him to get into work on a starter salary that would sustain his current income. Math wasn't his strong point but this situtation made for a good Daily Mail style rant.
