You have 3x our population
this is getting tiresome
how many times must we explain?
one third are economic migrants, like you. and can no more rep GB than shane warne, regardless of how many uk nurses you try to shag.
the other third are busy doing things other than sport, like inventing absolutely everything, writing books, television and music. Science and culture old fellow.
and the odd WMD

not Irish, they have their own team :)
Wendy Houvenaghel is from Northern Ireland.
The republic only took the one track cyclist with them, and he was 3s off the qualifying pace for the men's pursuit (his only event I think).

And the other third are too fat, too lazy and too stupid to do anything other than watch TV and proclaim that we are a great sporting nation.

Wales, 4 golds, 2 cycling and 2 rowing!

New national slogan = Wales, we're as good as France.

on a positive note, seeing team GB on that podium will certainly push more people to get out and ride. It also reminds us that achievement comes from shit loads of hard work, not from winning the lottery* It gives youngsters someone to look up to rather than a reality TV "star" who does nothing but waste oxygen.
*ironically it's lottery money that has helped fund some of our infrastructure

this is why, despite all the bad, corrupt, political things about it, the Olympics is still good.

fuck yeah.
even if we don't race, it should at least bring home to some people that fantasizing about lime green deep vs and powder coated parts is achingly shameful when we should be out there, on our bikes, whatever they look like, making the most of any time we have to ride.

Anna Meares is tough as fuck. That crash in LA was horrific. She's got a tough semi tomorrow against the Chinese woman but I hope she gets through to the final.

On a tangential note, they were just showing some of the big losers at the games and playing Eddie Hinton's Hard Luck Guy in the background... Deep blue-eyed soul at it's best peoples... Love that tune so much... Sigh...

i'll be cheering her on as she's the underdog, but it wouldn't surprise me if Shuang Guo wins and gives VP a run for her money in the final.

Someone spike her drink then ffs

VP and Guo are developing a bit of a rivalry, and I like rivalry.
