25th tomoorow, shit i slept for a week!
-
• #3
so you won't all end up feeling agrieved.
But that's the whole point ;)
-
• #4
I'm always agrieved when I hear Bill's dulcet tones
-
• #5
ah yes, the 18th!
-
• #6
I will be listening intently
expecting the presenter to do that very R4 thing: the slightly confused/misbelieving/amused tone they put on, usually when talking about the internet , email or anything post 1953
-
• #7
What is the name of the show as I'll have to look it up in R4's 'hear again'
-
• #8
it's callled city messengers
-
• #9
RPM =RT
thanks mate
-
• #10
Radio 4 dj: "Very ingenious - you turn your legs and it makes the... what did you call it?"
messenger: "wheel?"
dj: "...'Wheel' turn, propelling you forwards! The wonders of modern technology!" -
• #11
Radio 4 dj
I rather think Radio 4 would favour the term 'presenter' or 'broadcaster' over 'dj', unless the show was being relayed from an event requiring evening dress of course
-
• #12
I thought Radio 4 was an event that required evening dress :)
-
• #13
Then I shall make sure I'm dressed appropriately at 11 am tomorrow!

Radio 4 Presenter: ramble ramble... H.G. Wells quote... ramble... courier/messenger nomenclature... ramble... dangerous and exciting... ramble... keep wheels of London's economy turning... ramble.
Bill: ramble ramble... one of the first... ramble... Moving Target plug... ramble... whimsical facial hair... ramble... get erection over Colnago decals stuck on Argos full suspension bike... ramble.

wee wee wee wee word up
-
• #20
just switched on the radio and got the intro.
just heard bill.
they all been to uni....
-
• #21
It's odd - interesting as it is, this is more like a TV programme than a radio programme - I feel like I should be able to see the things they're talking about...
-
• #22
what's with the music?
-
• #23
the music is making me want to switch off...
well, that and Bill's voice.
the only thing pleasing to the ear is Nhatt
-
• #24
yes, I know who I'd prefer to listen to out of those three.....Nhatt will be in the van with us for 10 hours on the Rollapaluza trip to Liverpool-land.
-
• #25
what a great programme. i enjoyed that.
you all came across really well.
nice one.
If any of you are interested there is a documentary going out on Radio 4 tomorrow (18th) at 11 am. It should be available via i-player as well. It features Nhatt, Buffalo Bill and myself. I've heard it and think it's ok, should be of interest to anyone who rides a bike in London, not just couriers. And the word Fakenger does not get mentioned once so you won't all end up feeling aggrieved.
