Probably use the tram to visit the shops, and with the correct travelcard could get to the Velodrome on the bus. Assuming of course, that their bikes are stored at the Velodrome. Otherwise they could only train at off-peak times. The tram lines render road training in the Manchester area somewhat hazardous.
