    Yessir, must be.

  • Hello hello. I'm Marisa, 25 from LA. I ride a converted Nishiki at the moment that I've been riding for almost a year now, and onto a new project. Very new to this forum, so bare with me. I originally joined in order to meet other riders when I'm traveling. I'm planning a trip for February, it will be the first time out of the states with my bike. I was in London about 6 years ago, and aching to go back. Hopefully I will have the pleasure of meeting some of you when I visit. I know this post is useless without pictures, but I'm in the office at the moment and don't have much saved to this computer. Soon...

  • Heres one of me getting whored by some sleazy photographer working for a climate change festival...

Look like a poser right? That bike is unfortunatley now deceased.

Finally got my new bike together after two months of scavenging & scrimping, really missed nipping about a la fixed wheel. Nice to be spinning again, Jumped from 71 to 81 GI in the process, which I may say has left me feeling like ive been pumping iron.

    Sneak peek of new bike:

  • you are running 81'' on the street????

    ahhhh, an office.

I long for the feeling of having a job!

Look foward to seeing some pics. This a good forum with a lot of friendly people. I live in the part of this country most people try to avoid, so I dont get to show around fixie riding visitors much.

Im sure a lot of forumengers shall promptly hook you up with some fun when you land!

    Welcome.

  • ^ Yes, I have to say I am pretty fortunate to have a job in the current state that we're in. Then again, it would be nice to be outside on these sunny days.

I really like the forum a lot, glad I joined! Just wish it was February already.

    indeed!

Slows me down a bit pulling away, but fine if I get off the saddle. Ive put two brakes on though!

That reminds me of the family holiday when the satnav said 'bare left' and there actually was a bear on the left. That was excellent.

Yeah but have you ever been to L.A? I'd rather live in Stoke

  • Yeah but have you ever been to L.A? I'd rather live in Stoke

i stayed in ingledwood for a week and it was one of the friendliest places i went on my trip. havnt been to stoke so cant compare.

  • I've just been given my green card for entry into the US. My folks live in Seattle. Fixed gear riding is huuuuuuuuuge there.

Actually - i haven't been "given" my green card - i have busted my ass and broken my back answering stupid questions about why i want to be closer to my folks and in a state where i can ride for hours then piss off up the mountains for some snowboarding. Surely thats good enough reason!? :-)

  • Yes, Seattle has quite a big community.
