I'm Eddi I just moved to London a few weeks ago and I'm jobhunting (tho I may have something starting on monday) I got into fixed in NYC last year, after being intrigued by it for years. I used to see all the couriers in Glasgow (I went to uni there and stayed for a year after, gonna go visit soon) with no brakes and be very confused about how they stopped. I had a hybrid specialized sirrus which I got cheap off craigslist in NY, this inevitably got nicked but the insurance paid out replacement value ie not what i paid for it, so i got a pista! took a bit of getting used to, learning to skid and skip stop etc but i totally love it. Once i get a job i'm going to start playing around with different parts and things. I want a 17 tooth on the back, a shorter stem and some other bits.

I'm going down herne hill for a try out on saturday, and generally wanted to go out for a few rides, to get to know london a bit and meet new folk.
