why easier and wahy safer, im an engineer it what we do is make stuff.
Wouldnt it have been a lot easier to bend the steel rod?
Also is it hardened at all? Regular mild steel is piss easy to saw through.
What locking mechanism are you using, perhaps it wouldve been cheaper to get an existing lock and shortened the bar?
Just some thoughts, making stuff is cool.
