  • I found 50 mile+ distances solo out in the country messed with my head a bit because your brain goes into autopilot/standby mode without any stimuli and with you burning lots of calories it would otherwise have access to. Tranced out.

    Fair point, solo distance riding takes a certain mentality. Personally I love it, especially those moments when you get to observe a peacful world undistracted. The countryside has a lot of stimuli if it's stuff you're into. If not then boredom can' be a really burden.
