Don't do it. They offer little or no protection compared to a proper modern one. You'll just look ridiculous.

sounds like a good itenary. I'll be on the condor that was on the classifieds. think i'll do the medium route and probably set off about 6am, get some cycling done, then start on the salami and wine in the avo! i'm taking a tent and will try to get some acc in gaoile for sat and sun. be good to do some miles with another brit, lets keep in touch. p.s 105 you need to get one of these helmets too, got some fingerless gloves the other day but still need some old skool goggles. 6am start then early finish for wine sounds like a plan
