I tried putting the fold in similar to the real deal and the japanese how-to but it didn't work too well at keeping it in an arch. I even affixed zipties around the inside to try and act as a spring, but that didn't work too well either. Scotts multiple layers look good and stiff. Report back in a few weeks emilie when you've missengaged a few times and let us know if they still keep the arch or lay flat on the pedal rendering then useless.
