Was really looking forward to seeing both Devo and The Sonics at Primavera festival. For similar aged bands, Devo were soo much better. (Sonics were an awful Status Quo parody of their former selves; Devo rocked).
It's funny seeing them in their flowerpot hats and yellow boiler suits with the middle aged spread, though!

Polysics were also at the festival today... the contemporary japanese version... did a cover of 'secret agent man'... amazing.
i might have broken my foot though... oh well

Yeah I like 'I Me My Mine' but a whole album of them is a bit full on. Saw them at that small club in Islington (near highbury corner) - hottest gig in the world but really good energy.

Mark Mothersbaugh is something of a genius. So few people realise just how much stuff he's done - look up his discog for a few 'well shit - I never knew that' moments.

i love devo. in a purely heterosexual manly way. just got hold of "the complete truth about de-voloution" and "Devo - live" on a double DVD and i'm really looking forward to watching them.

just saw them... and they were bloody amazing. for dudes pushing 60 they had more energy than any of these brit rock/pop whatever bands.. and a heck of a lot more cool
