looks pretty! but does it balance from the pedal? how easy is that to knock off and does it put too much pressure on the crank?

i've got a good one, it's a plate that attaches to the wall with an arm that folds down that has a double hook to hold the frame at the top tube. like this:

link? that looks pretty good. Could use it for my Bianchi, which has received next to no love this year because of my fixed...

depends how tall your ceilings are but the cheap n nasty (i found they required extra drilling to fit together and entirely seperate nuts cos those provided made everything rattly) "sunny wheel" pulley systems work pretty well.
i don't really see how mounting a bike on a wall gives you much more space than it resting against the same wall.
with the pulleys though i only have slight strangle risk during drunken staggers through my hall rather than expensive bike damage risk.

I'm after a wall hanger aswell. My bisque flat is running out of space.
Jeffcapeshop - It leaves more floor space for stuff like......like bike parts. Personally I want to hang my bike above my sofa.

the whole of my house is tall-ceilinged except my room unfortunately, so i think even a shortass like me would bump their head. and in answer to your wondering, i was thinking of hanging it on a wall above a chest of drawers, in order to still be able to access my clothes (its for my geared bike so wouldn't be used everyday, but i didn't want to leave it at the mercy of the elements)
I like hassan's, where did you get it?

cavendish (of course). but i've seen them in evans and cycle surgery and bike fix before as well. a little difficult to describe but not too hard to find. shouldn't be more than a tenner.

the wheels kind of rest on the wall and the plate-thingy keeps the bike from tipping out in the room (hard to explain but pure physics) so it's quite stable actually.
can anyone recommend a good device for storing bikes on walls? I am soon to have more bikes than space, which is lovely but potentially uncomfortable.
also, hello! from a newbie. your forum has cheered me up lots in the absence of being able to ride. hope to come along to some things once i have less of a broken elbow.
