Any Adnams on show?
-

My mates got a house in Southwold, proper posh they are, have spent maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaany a night in the pub next to the lighthouse dribbling myself into a stupor on broadside/explorer....
Adnams rule... they still deliver their ale locally by horse and cart, a bit like youngs used to until very recently

yes, but ask any adnams tied pub landlord an he'll tell you a sob story.
they make great beer, have a lovely new eco-building, but treat their people like shite.
my parents ran two adnams pubs back in the 70's , it was the same situation then. The non-adnams pubs still buy the beer wholesale (for less) and flog it cheaper than the tied pubs, which sounds spazzy but true.

I've not heard about that before, seems a bit shite of them to be honest..
As you say, great beer (The latest carbon neutral 'East Green' is really nice) and I guess that fools you a bit into thinking they might not be such a big nasty brewery.. :(
Edit: Also, would be there if it weren't for being back in Suffolk.. Oh well, I have a bottle of Explorer in the fridge

I'll be there with a 6'7" welsh man. It makes me even easier to spot.

i don't like Adnams beer much, it's over rated.

I like Broadside - and the fact their bottles use less glass than normal. Easier to carry home loads of them :)

What's the perry and scrumpy scene like?
Has Cambridge/Milton Brewery got a stand?
-
• #19
about 30 perrys and about 70 cider, and I don't recall of neither of them having onw stand, only big breweries are having one
I have been all week, while you lot have been not drinking good beer. now is your time to play. entry is around 8 quid (don't know i get in free) beer is around 2.60 a pint, best real ales, and fat anti-social men in Brittan under one roof.
