  • basically the fluid in your body is slightly salty, as evidenced by when you sweat you loose water and salts. if you ingest straight water your body has to adjust it b4 it absorbs it. isotonic on the other hand is supposed to be the same salt concentration which means it can be absorbed immediately. i'd suggest trying the isotonic drinks in training and getting use to them. most stuff is best watered down a bit as its too strong.
