the rear brake is screwed on my good ladies Peugeot and so we need a replacement. we have talked about her trying to ride fixed but decided for the safety of the all involved it was probably not the best idea. thing is, because it is a step through ladies frame it's a bit of a funny brake that the cable approaches from below...so the cable clamps at the top rather than the bottom. I don't have a decent pic to hand, but have attached the best I can find.
The brakes that are on there at the moment are original weinmanns, so if someone has a functioning rear (o-er) that they don't need, or knows of an alternative we could use it would be much appreciated, as this one won't release properly and so reduces her already slow pace to a crawl.
I do want to replace the front at some point too, but as it's working properly at the moment am in no particular hurry, also going to convert it to a single speed when I get the time / knowhow because, as she puts it "these gears are crap".
