Don't know, that's how I found it. Maybe someone was planning some kind of slavedom with it? TBH, I only got my mitts on the bike this morning and didn't pick up on it only having one - as I ride fixed with one brake it looked normal to me, I didn't think about the freewheel bit.

£30 mate, that thing isn't sound despite it's ready to ride.

I'm open to offers but 30 notes ain't enough.

if you want to sell it for £50, pump up the tyres and ride round it to see if it sounds.
do you really think it a good idea to try and flog it for 50 notes when it hasn't even been tested?

Heh, a good mullet is something to be proud of. My last one made children in the street cry.
The price was based on the fact that there are frames/forks on the board like this that've had a coat of paint going for £50. http://www.londonfgss.com/thread7730.html. Given that the price police didn't mention that, 50 squid seemed a reasonable price for this one. ;)
There's a bit of a story behind all the bikes I put up for sale. I work for a recycling company and we often get bikes coming through. We can flog them for a flat fee but for stuff that I think someone here might appreciate more I pull them out and post them. I make nothing (not a penny) out of it myself (so don't knock the prices - I'd give it away if I could) but I get a warm glow from bringing bikes together with people that will love them. :)
When I do this I do need to make marginally more than we'd get by punting it to our normal bike buyer (about £35 in this case) in order to justify it at work (and sometimes getting some cash for a bike makes it easier for me to get away with pulling out frames to give away that otherwise would have a scrap value - see my other threads). The flip side to this is that I have to shift stuff really fast as we need warehouse space; I didn't ride in today so haven't got a pump so riding around on this bike before posting it for sale isn't an option.
Anyone who wants to come down with a pump in Vauxhall, SW4 and have a ride is welcome.

I love the way that someone took the time to remove the rear brake, but left the front reflector on!
give the guy a break, there's nothing in it for him, even if the £ are going to a multinational waste company.

mullet, sit tight - £50 for the bike, £60 for replacement wheels and a chain. FFS, some tall person must need a pub bike?

Long gone, I'm afraid. No intersting bikes at the moment.
Sort of conversion - mechs have been pulled off but still running a full sent of cogs at the back (so could be converted back to a tourer easily). Single front chainring. 60cm BB centre to top of seat tube. One front brake. BB, headset, brake and look alright. Frame is dirty and there are a few rust spots but nothing structural. Chain is rusty, tyres flat (but look ok) so I haven't tried to ride it. Nice quill and chrome bars. Wheels and hubs look sound but some of the spokes are pretty rusty. Again, structurally probably ok. Whole bike would clean up well with some wire wool, oil and elbow grease. Dog ugly saddle and some dubious holes in top tube for running a cable come free. :)
It's in SW8, I'm keen to shift it ASAP. Available for tyre kicking / collection 9-6 every day. Was thinking £50 - cheap way to get rolling.
