• was really fun, despite the wet it was still fairly warm and made for a more interesting ride! great to meet some of youguys and will have to come up to london for more events!

• i'd even go as far as say it was the best kind of rain, didn't get that cold and wasn't really that heavy.

Sunny woulda have been better though

• i was Fxxking frozen after turner hill,....:(

• Wicked ride people. Thanks for a really good day. Nice to meet you all.

• Gutted I did not make it

Had dug out my Kraftwerk lycra shirt, trimmed my beard down to stubble a la George Michael and was all looking forward to flirting with the pride attendees

• think i got the king of the puncture award.

thanks everyone making that a great day.
special thanks to Texas and Jonny helping out when I ran out of inner tubes.

• hi everyone,

thanks for the ride, nice to put a few more forum names to faces. big props to mike e for his hilarious story about riding from london to hull in 15 hours.

see you all again soon - maybe at the roller race next weekend.

• Nipple slip from hillbilly

• Yesterday was brilliant, wet, soggy and miserable at times but totally worth it! Swimming in the sea, Fish and chips, rose and egg custard tart - what better way to finish a ride! Was great meeting so many lovely new people. Have some great pics will get them up in a couple of days...

• great ride all. next time lets just get the train to the last hill. the bit before had too much rain associated with it. climb + pub + view = prefect end.

• sorry for your mishap james, good to meet and ride with you all and all those i didn't meet properly, as always nothing but smiles and encouragement for and form all.

• there was no smile and encouragement from me....all I remember saying was to skullhead... another fxxking hill...shit....

• Thanks for organizing a great ride Lebowski... what a feeling of achievement getting up that hill at the end! Twas good to meet many of you, I'll see some of you at south drinks soon I imagine. Nice to see uploaded pics too... riding down the hill into Brighton in a convoy was awesome... I definitely made the right choice riding on pink rubber on that particular wknd

• I totally missed you guys. I admit I left at 10.30. Did you get caught in the time trial race in Handcross. I must have got lapped about 3 times by one dude. Can I clarify did anyone ride up Devils Dyke fixed without stopping or walking and if so how did they breed their legs to not get really upset.
Also thanks to the person who name escapes me for the written directions. Excellent. Didn't get lost once I'm most grateful. Hope you all had a grand ride and I hope to make it on time next time.

• What a great ride! Good going everyone, especialy the fast group. Had a great time thank you to the Brighton crew for the hosiptality. Good fish n chips and very good beer(cider).
Looking forward to the next ride down.

• Thanks all for a great weekend, especially big thanks to Lebowski for organising, Max for steering us into Brighton (and fish & chip restaurant) and Hillbilly for looking out for me all weekend. Got some pictures to put up tonight, hope to see you all soon.

I'd just like to point out that jim did not do me.

• ^ yeah what they said

my special thanks to: evry muthafuckin one of you, but esp. WAID, dropout (a patient man!), Chris and all the so-called ''medium'' party... the Brighton boys, especially Max for tearing around looking for everyone... and and all those that met us there on the beach to keep the party going.

I'm shocked by how I look red faced and dehydrated in evry picture, whilst all you lot look cool calm and collected. Heart attack man or what!?

• Thanks for the pictures, everyone, especially WAID for catching Hillbilly emerging sea-monster like; Max- great video of the joyful downhill swoop into Hove, en masse. (Nick Drake soundtrack to boot! +thanks for the definitive and accurate route sheet).

@ Skully- the facial redness is just in juxtaposition to your dayglo 'ban radioactivity' jersey. Subdued hues that flatter the skin tone better. Won't stop the heart attack, but you'll be a prettier corpse!

@ Lebowski the staggered start clearly worked. Should use again on well attended rides.

BTW did anyone from the first group notice I led the WRONG WAY for the first mile?

• yes and no

• I did think we were serposed to be going straight down the A23. I was too polite to say anything though.
