Question time

Ive searched and havent found exactly the sort of answers to things i was looking for.

1) Any quick way to measure rake and clearance? I haven't got wheels, but might be able to borrow some to check it out and ive only got a measuring tape. Frame is really old and I have no idea what make it is. Rake doesn't appear too bad but you can never really tell without wheels.

2) My spacings are 130 rear and 86 front, which I thought was weird cos I thought front spacing was generally 90 or greater. Question would most front hubs fit this ( I was looking in particular at the weinmann dp18 wheelset off ebay, but I'm getting them from a bike shop)

3)Paint job. I know some people say, dont bother with a rattle can job, splash out and go for a powder coat, but I've got a friend who would do a rattle can job for free. Problem is he cant blast it. I got quoted 70 dorra for a blast, paint and clear coat job in Bawston, so i might just go for that.

4) Aesthetics. Going for a white paint job, thinking black saddle, bar wrap and lug lining. Then the weimann set is only 160 dorra so I was thinking of white, but I think some plain silver rims would look better. Any thouhts?
