• What makes a good introduction thread?

    In as much as they usually contain formulaic fawning, self-deprecation, frame boasting, technical begging and inability to round out nicely.

    Just a simple introduction I guess. The bikes to faces is a nice way.
    Not "Hello everyone, do you wanna buy my bike". IMO
    There's no pressure to make yourself known so urgently.
    I think some people think there is and they're so desperate to feel part of the forum they ask the first thing in their head.
    Why not answer other peoples questions, help others out, meet ups, etc and get known through that rather than start off a poor thread.
    How many people have been shot down on their 1st thread? I think that's sad but some have it coming :(
