Yeah it's down NOT up - worst year that I have seen for fatalities was 1989 - 33. Lot less cyclists in 1989, I can tell you.
Last year was less than 20, can't remember the exact no., but it's on movingtargetzine.com somwhere (I can't get to it cos I am at work).
HGV/cyclist deaths are running at less than 10 a year, and falling. 1999/03 it was over 10 a year.
As more cyclists, then more people see cyclists, therefore expect to see and look for cyclists.
