Dont think most transfers would stand the heat of the curing oven.
Just spray a bit of clear lac over it yourself?

I guess that sounds doable, though i dunno if id trust myself to do it. I guess powdercoating isnt really meant for that sorta job anyway, so i might just give the transfers a miss.
cheers. -

I put vinyl decals on p-coat with no clear and all good so far.
As for trusting yourself, how wrong can you go with something invsisble? -

True, ill give the clearcoat a go.
Any suggested types/brands? Ive got a couple of cans of halfords clear lacquer knocking around; will they do? -

in my experience, halfords paint is very good.
Read what their clear lac is made of though, I think those transfers reccomend acrylic based.
So, first off, I apologize, I've been lurking for a while...
Just bought my first track frame off ebay (but been riding a conversion for almost 18 months), and it VERY much needs a respray.
I took my last frame to Vaz, and needless to say wont be making that mistake again.
Heard good things about Armourex powdercoating in hackney; has anyone had experience with using transfers + powdercoating?
I've heard you can get a clearcoat over the powdercoat; would it be possible therefore to apply transfers onto the powdercoat, then clearcoat over the top?
Im looking at some holdsworth waterslide-style transfers; but wont bother getting them if it seems to much hassle.
Cheers in advance for any imparted knowledge...
