WHich way are your dropouts facing?
I presume its foward facing hook types. In which case a nutted axle should grip perfectly, maybe need a little pull back after several weeks of hard riding.
If you think about it, the constant downward force of your bodyweight is greater than the forces of pedalling, so things should balance themselves out.
If it keeps happening, and quickly, I would give the bike/hub a good check over to make sure nothing is wrong.
my rear wheel keeps slipping out of its dropouts, my local bike mechanic said that i needed tugs much like on a bmx, but i see plenty of bikes on the net without these.
is there something i can do to avoid this slipping?
