i want a narrow seatpost to go into a narrow tube.
surely the shim would only work if I was putting a pug seatpost into a larger frame?

nah, you just need an inverse shim.
search the forum, plenty of folk on here swear by it.

I think they are around about 24.2 mm.
Just over 24mm anyway.I have heard that Decathlon may stock posts in this size- but have nothing to back this up, as I have not been in looking for one.

24mm, its easy to get straight posts if you don't mind using a clip assembly instead of micro adjust. otherwise, get a 23.4mm post from decathlon and shim it up
