Get someone to heat 'em up and take them off if they are brazed on.
I would just take a junior hack saw to them - then file what is left as best you can to fit the profile of the tube they are sitting on - then sand paper smooth.
Ted down at fixed gear London will do it for a small cost.

Ok cheers, sounds a bit of a risk to do myself, i'll ask Argos if they will do it as i'm gonna get them to paint the frame for me, are they any good BTW.

Argos are very good, they know what they are doing and I am sure will do a great job.
But cutting off a little bit of metal and filing it down really is trivial.

You aint seen any of my handy work, whenever i get hold of saw, sander, or even a file i always take too much off, i drill holes too big too.

Anyone got any tips on removing frame bosses or would it be easier to get a pro to do it.
I want to remove the gear lever ones if it matters
