  • What time does the induction end usually? Polo is beckoning tomorrow. I may run down, do the induction to free myself of having to do it in the future, and then head back to the polo court.

  • By 10.15 / 30

  • Ooohh, looks good. Just enough time to get home, mallet, and off to the court.

  • Last week I learned that riding when it's very windy is a very miserable experience. I was destroyed for the rest of the day.

    (ahem)
    Still waiting on my links...

  • it's going to be flat calm tomorrow

    but fuckin hot!

  • Hi Ben,

I have built up my own track bike. It has a brake which I just whip off and I flip the wheel over to higher gearing and I am off. Are you around tonight. I have me new bike with me today

    yep! check ya later.

Unfortunately for me I can't whip the lever off mine, as its a Paul which doesn't come off that easily. Also my hub's single-sided so ratio's not good.

  • time for another wheel and another set of bars then!

yep. Mine is also a Paul, and you are right, its not that easy to whip off. I have ruined my nice new nitto bars by wiggling it off every time. Never thought to buy a hinged bracket brake!

  • Fuck
you've just reminded me I need a new tyre for a new front wheel.

  • Looks like it will be another busy induction tomorrow. I should be down for the 10.30, try out the newly finished pista.

  • I'll be there, on teenslain's cast-off Fuji

  • time for another wheel and another set of bars then!

Or just whip some bits off another bike...

    you got me thinking

  • there's an SCCU roadmans race meet on tomorrow at 2pm (after training)

it's gonna be busy Bs and Gs !

  • what a scorcher. sun was out all morning. it was enjoyable nonetheless. it was my first time and lack of experience showed in the end. at the back all the way but jumped ahead with 2 laps to go. jumped out way too early. people were passing me with half a lap to go. second race was tough. ran out of gas. might have a go on wednesday night racing.

good to see other lfgss folks down there.

  • it's really hard to judge when you're going to run out of gas, as you say. it just happens without much warning

  • it was fun, and fucking hot.
nice to see/ meet some forum boys, and getting my first real 0 kph bail in front of a massive bunch of people was good too.
Just had some eggs and cheese and I feel a million times better

    Wednesday anyone?

  • and getting my first real 0 kph bail in front of a massive bunch of people was good too.

Ha, that was you? was genius, least it was on the grass though so nothing hurt. Lovely day, and nice to meet some of you lfgss guys, good times. Now I guess I need to get fit and stop drink so much on a friday night to reduce embarrassment.
    Cheers

    sure was.
in my defence I stripped the thread of the hub/ sprocket and couldn't stay balanced/ unclip.
your bike looks awesome in the flesh

  • Awesome to come down and watch you all racing, the instructors are a bit intimidating though.. like drill sergeants!

  • good to meet da bruvvas yesterday - induction was fun…

this is my track bike, sah, yesssaahhhh

  • I know you is a hole chaser, boy!

  • Nice to meet you too Big Daddy. Think I need to man up and get myself inducted into the Track Army!

  • I was down the track yesterday morning at around 8.30-845 ish but no one else was and it looked from the info on the board that there wasn't anything on and it didn't seem as though it actually opened on a sun.

So do they open on a Sun?
