Yeah.... heal fast Mary.
I just cycled to work through that junction and arrived 5 minutes after the SAME THING HAPPENED TO TOMASITO. Driver took a left without indicating, and by all accounts Tom shouted, braked and ended up on the bonnet of the car. He seemed shaken, with only a few cuts... BUT FUCK !! ... the weather is making already shite drivers... 10x worse.
I'll let him fill in the details when he's cleaned himself up, but there were a heap of witnesses, bike seemed fine... rider fuming.
Take care dude... and maybe catch you later at Mass. -

Pretty much as STB says above: I got side-swiped by a green Vauxhall which didn't indicate as I took the bus lane up Essex Rd. Bounced off the car and ended up on the road with bike on top of me. Just cuts and bruises, and a painful golf-ball bruise on the knee, but bike is fine. The most patronising, infurating thing was the driver coming around to check on me and resting his hand on my shoulder, to be met only with my "don't fucking touch me" rant.
Nice to see Shootthebreeze soon afterwards and pause to let the adrenaline slow down. And as with Mary's case, I got lucky - it could have been a lot worse. Ride safe people. x

Definitely. If you exchange 'water' with 'napalm', or at least 'D-lock to the face'.

mary, small bundle of fun, get well soon, get the witnesses statements, the cctv and get some compensation.
@ tomasito, good to hear you're not too banged up, I'd advocate taking the rest of the day off, get home, pamper yourself a little, let the adrenalin and the shock wear off and ease into the weekend... -
