Just saw one on Kingsland rd with Downham rd. Cyclist was on the curb sitting down surrounded by people and police. Bike looked ok but one of the wheels was off.
There were no cars around and he didn't seem too hurt... -

Might be what I saw then? I didn't see the lampost though. How did it manage that?

fuck knows. i had an annoying bloke on a hybrid who "had" to be first out the lights, by jumping the red lights. grr. so i tried to calm down.
then i saw a bright orange frame, with polish writing and a big bald bloke riding it, tiny rear cog.
orange tyres. looked ace. -

That's what I saw too.
I couldn't work out if it was the cyclist sitting down with the head wound or the driver of the car. Nothing I could do but gawp so I didn't.It looked as though the car had made an abrupt left turn, presumably to avoid hitting someone or something.

That was exactly where I broke my shoulder last year. People think they have time to pull out onto the main road from either side, but don't.
18h45 - Not sure what happened but there was a car positioned at a strange angle facing the pavement, maybe it came from a side road on the right and hit the cyclist. The female cyclist was sitting (and crying). There was a lot of blood on the kerb so I hope no one else got injured. I really hope she is ok and that she will be able to get back on her bike soon.
I didn't stop as I wasn't in a very good mood and would have slapped the driver and maybe the police...
Anyway third accident I see on my commute between Tooting Bec and Balham in one week. Thursday a very nasty car/motorbike accident, Monday a car, no idea what happened, it was smashed.
(and as I type I hear the 3rd police car passing by...)
Apart from that all is well and there seems to be much less traffic (must be summer hols) and everybody seems to be considerate.
