it would be boring without their little foibles, for sure.
but I wish they wouldn't act all gay in the studio, all that leg touching and gazing into each others eyes isn't what we want to see on a program about cycling
They look like two ventriloquist dummies fighting over who puts their hand up who's ass... that said, I too grew up with them and it just wouldn't be the same without them. Did anyone see the '20 Greatest Moments' after the highlights last night? The lack of Il Pirata was a shock, but anyone else notice that Sherwin sounded a lot more scouse back in the day?

Saw that. Left me wandering what they bumped for Cav's 4 wins.

He's from Widnes but hasn't been back there for years, hence the mellowing of the accent...

have to say I prefer david h and sean on eurosport - sean is always spot on with his tactical anaysis and always calls breaks and attacks before they happen - even if he does start every sentence with 'certainly' *
I have to say though that given they have no control over the pictures and they can only commentate on the same pictures that we see they all do a pretty good job.*good idea to link a drinking game to this on flat stages

lemond won the 1989 tour by 8 seconds on the final stage, but it was in a time trial. not the same thing. it's also one thing to attack and win the final stage, that happens all the time, but it's a completely different thing to do it for the yellow jersey. it doesn't matter anyway, there is simply no way that Silence-lotto would let Sastre or anyone else important take time off Cadel on the Champs Elysees.
did you see today's stage? Cadel worked harder than anyone else to pull Sastre back. he was excellent today.

i don't think they are very good, tbh. their command of english isn't up to it
Benaud. listen to benaud, there's a sports commentator.
LOL, and I love the "perpetrators of hydro-electric" one as well!
But... I think the commentary in general has been pretty decent and the one thing I love is that this seems the first British commentary team I've seen that: a) can actually pronounce foreign names properly; b) conduct interviews pretty fluently in a range of foreign languages (e.g. the Big Mig interview on the Hautacam stage). So maybe their english isn't up to scratch but their Spanish/French/Italian/... certainly is. Good effort guys!

Err.. the fact that they'd both be DQ'd might cause them to think twice.

Johnny Schleck's (father of Frank and Andy) car has been searched at the french border and he is being interrogated at this moment. French police say that there is 'not neccesarely' a link with the Tour.
I hope hot. I really hope not. -

UPDATE: (yes news comes fast, especially on Belgian TV when it comes to cycling) According to AFP no doping or illegal substances have been found in Johnny Schleck's car.
But it goes to show how paranoid everybody is these days. -

I loved his quote last year "the guys built like a brick you know a brick err shithouse.. err i mean.. umm errr"
I think he meant to say "built like a brick so-and-so house" but it came out as "built like a brick shit so-and-so".
Funny as fuck!

I think winning the TdF is a big enough incentive on it's own, I wouldn't have thought having a team mate just up the road in sight would have any difference whatsoever.
Millar's been riding quite well, (rode for Vandevelde today) I might have a sneaky e/w punt on the TT stage.

lol @ the Quick Step guy having a go when the lanky Columbia chap was trying to do his jersey up.
Incidentally, imagine Sean Kelly was banned from using the word 'certainly' he would be fucked.
I counted 14 in 40 mins:)

He majorly uses the word certainly.
Can't you just ramble on about the local cheese and red wine produce for half an hour?
I miss Duffers :0(
