Check out Trainline and grab a cheap ticket to Bath/Cambridge/Oxford and do that for a day. get out to the countryside, as long as you are back by 7ish you will miss the orks and witches.
Entertainment wise - you're best bet is one of the drinks and asking for bars/gigs/poetry/theatres etc.. saying that Time out isn't bad
