hello. my name is crabtree and i am an addict. got my first fix 5 weeks ago and i'm hooked. i'm also heavily under the influence of skateboarding, and as much as i truly love skating, i'm now as stoked riding my bike as i am on board!
i had lots of dumb/naive/beginner questions/concerns before i got started, but the magic search button here more than delivered (best advice i took was to HTFU!). so thank you LFGSS forumers for the invaluable info (and jokes) you kindly share, it convinced me to follow my urges and try out fixed gear cycling - and i'm sooooooo glad i did!
most of my friends are unfortunately t-total (don't ride), and all my attempts to lead them astray seem to fail... so without wanting to sound like billy-no-bike-mates, can i come and play at tricky-tuesday today please?! i can skid a bit and i'm slowly getting the hang of trackstands (i'm better on the carpet in my front room!). i promise i'll bring beer and snacks to share... :D
