shin: repaint it in white, super sexy
http://velospace.org/node/1179DO NOT spray that frame! That paint job is amazing.

yeah, he'll be mad to paint it. gonna be a sweet build when he's done :)

Ray, if you mess with the paint on that GT, you are going down. Hard.
:p
I'm not one for HHSB colourways (case in point, my bike) but that is awesome as it is.

screw those losers, ray, powdercoat it NOW.

Shin I have no idea why you'd paintjob that frame. It's ladylike as it is...
joking aside, I wouldn't even begin to understand why you bought it if you had a paintjob. forget brian, he's on his own planet. And pj is the boy when you were a child urging you to smash the shop window so he can laugh at you looking regretful.
If it's about anything it's about the colours Shin. Can't wait to see what you do with it..

i resent this defamatory comment.
i am thinking of getting one of those low profile frames myself. there, i've said it. i want a prologo.

Isn't that the 'gay SAS' motto: "who cares, pricks" ?
nah, it's the motto for a regiment of elite acupuncturists

just built this up for a friend, their first fixed wheel.
it's an allin, late 50s i guess. used the cheap as shit FSA crankset and BB, MKS pedals, Cinelli bars, Campag GS sport front caliper, record seatpost, and a brooks i butchered. ambrosio wheels. that's about it i think.
gorgeous nervex lugs, original paint. slight ding in toptube. looks nice though. emphasis was on nice looking bike, but budget build.

^ Nice simple classic build, really liking the ways some of these butchered brooks' are turning out.
Nice wheels ;-)

ooo fresh tyres! nice build matey.

dead pups is where it's at.
yeah - loving the simple builds at the moment. takes a few minutes, then boom, bike ready. the relaxed geometry of road conversions makes them so frickin' nice to ride.

the wheels look happy. thanks for that! and the tyres! black rims matches the fsa cranks anyway. made things much easier.

Imho that looks all wrong on that frame.. especially with that wheel :) now if it was a one of these fancy carbon-frames and a Zipp Disc then it would fit..
-
• #421
yeah you bogan, can't put that there!
-

money, cost, etc - says yes i can.
and it's not for me, so definitely yes i can.
and at £40 for BB, cranks and chainring, way yes. and then if the guy wants to give me a yay big of cash for a frickin' campag or sugino i'll switch it out.

alex @ cavendish has just finished putting this together for me. It's for my father in law who liked mine so i thought it was a good excuse!
all the parts except frame and wheels were second hand and (cleaned up) are all shimano 600 parts. Got tjem off of an ebay bargin that i wanted to use but the frame was f**ked. Alex had a new/old stock which i grabbed and then he put it together. Just rode it home ( a little to big for me) rides nice! didn't like riding free wheel again kept forgetting that i need to use the brakes!
I have got another moser which i should get next week so will put up some pics!!

That was before the torque wrenching so you are, in fact, correct. :P
