why did they pick pattinson (who?)
he is from my home city (melbourne), played for a fairly average district club side (dandenong) and has never managed to crack the victorian team except for when all the other vic bowlers were injured. i've never heard of him. surely there are better, younger, ENGLISH players that it would be worth developing?
another "english" player poached from the colonies to disguise the ECB's failures in coaching/development structure.
